Urgent Care One has been created by Dr. Edward Stoner who wants to bring quality healthcare to the community at large.
Dr. Stoner has been involved in group medical practice since 1985. Over the years, he has worked hard to bring caring and insightful medical advice to his patients. Dr. Stoner has developed a significant number of skills in healthcare, from caring for whole families of all ages, chronic disease management, wellness visits, acute injury management including lacerations, occupational medicine, infectious disease diagnosis and treatment, severe illness care including hospitalization care, cardiovascular disease, cancer diagnosis, management of diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol issues, and more.
Dr. Stoner would describe himself as “old school” as his training began in South America at the University of Chile School of Medicine, where a proper diagnosis was dependent on the doctor’s interview of the patient (the history) and the physical exam. Most diagnoses were made prior to the result of labs and x-rays, etc. This is the art of medicine.
Combining the old school doctoring with Dr. Stoner’s knowledge of the high tech diagnostic techniques currently available, results in a patient friendly and comfortable environment for everyone.
Urgent Care One has been created by Dr. Stoner in order for him to practice medicine the way he was taught; with care, compassion, and knowledge. The decision to leave a corporate controlled environment allows him this opportunity. The opportunity being to give each and every patient kind and attentive service, to ensure all feel at home in his office. Whether the patient is a one-time visit from an injury and may never visit us again, or a chronically ill individual needing close monitoring; every patient will be treated kindly and with respect, and will always feel welcome. Dr. Stoner is also conversant in Spanish.
Dr. Stoner’s office manager and medical assistant has been involved in patient care for over thirty years. Initially trained as an EMT with trauma experience, went on to study nursing, is a skilled home health care expert, certified administrative and clinical medical assistant, ECG technician, phlebotomist, certified Doula (birth assistant), is wound care educated and more. She is driven to hands on care of patients with the bedside manner of an angel.
Urgent Care One, being run by these two individuals, results in a practice which is patient oriented and allows for the comfort and caring all deserve, especially when a person is not feeling up to par.
Be advised, Dr. Stoner will pull no punches when it means educating his patients as to the healthy lifestyle and medical advice.
